I am retired from teaching. Now I spend my time restoring corvettes, writing poetry (I’ve published one volume and in the process of publishing my second) and remodeling my home. Before that, I graduated from ASU and then played professional baseball with the Houston Astros. I came back to Tucson to get my graduate degrees in history and education. After that, I went to Catalina High School to teach and coach (baseball). At the end of my teaching days, I coached girl’s basketball at Sahuaro High School and girl's softball at Cholla High School, while teaching health. During this period of time, I was married twice and divorced.

Now, I am enjoying my children - Scott (38), Ryan (27) and Nicole (24). I have four grandchildren - Caitlin (11), Nathan (9), Ella (6) (from my daughter -in -law and son Scott). Also, my daughter's son Cash (2). I find it amazing to watch my children, raise their children (to me, it shows the influence we had, as parents).

After living in Tucson for 54 years and two divorces, I moved to Austin, Texas (where my son Scott, lives). I volunteer with the cystic fibrosis society and the Austin performing arts.

Believe me when I say, "don't mess with Texas". Texans' really believe that line. Basically in a good way. Well, this is it so far, my life's story. I hope I have more with our next reunion-number 50.

:I was a CHS faulty member from 1981 to 1995. I taught learning disabilities, ancient civilization and I coached baseball and softball. When I went to CHS to teach, there were still a lot of our teachers still there. It was funny to see their expressions when they saw me. I can just imagine what they were thinking.

Hope to see the entire class of 68 at the reunion.

See you all soon,

Message to the Class: We are the next generation.
