I graduated from the University of Arizona in 1972 with a BA in English Literature, then joined the Navy to avoid the draft (smart, huh). I spent 8 1/2 years in the Navy producing training films and videos and picked up a Masters in Film Ed from USC along the way. I've been in Phoenix since August 1981. I've managed video and multimedia production departments for many of the larger companies here, including Samaritan Health, Honeywell IAC and the Mayo Clinic Scottsdale. Currently I'm the Director of Communications for U-Haul International, Inc. From 1989-2001 I wan an adjunct faculty member of Glendale Community College, teaching classes in video and multimedia production. |

In 2006, I launched U-Haul University, an eLearning site for U-Haul. Currently we have 97 courses and 27,000 students (employees and U-Haul dealers). My wife Brenda and I have been married since 1974 and have four wonderful children, Erin (married to Mike), Michael (married to Laura), Jennifer (married to Andy) and four grandchildren: Emily, Maddy, Jonah, Emma Kate and Molly. I'm not good about writing, calling, or visiting, but I do respond to email. Message to the Class: Every day is a blessing and a gift. Make the most of itMy thoughts on turning 50.
