My Story - Karen (Dodge) Nick
Last Updated on 05/13/08

After graduating from Catalina High in 68, I attended the U of A for one year before marrying Bob in June of 69. Our first 9 years together, he was in the Air Force and we travel quite a bit, from Tucson, to Calif, then Philippines, and Colorado.

Spouse: Robert
Children: Debbie, Lize, James

Grandchildren: JR

Bob got out of the Air Force in '77 and went on to get his engineering degree, and I found out that engineers move just as much as the military. So, other places we have lived are Denver, Colorado, Salt Lake City, Utah, Orlando, Florida, Huntsville, and now we have our own business in Lake Havasu City, Arizona. We plan on moving to Lutz, Florida in a few years, that will be our retirement home, just two miles from our grandson.

While in Huntsville, I returned to college and finished my degree in Special Education. I taughted two years in Alabama before moving to Lake Havasu City where I taught for another two years before starting my quilt shop. Besides running my quilt shop, I am also taking care of my parents, both 90 yrs old. They have now lived with us for two years.

Message to the Class: Embrace life to the fullest and be open to every new experience that comes your way. I will always hold some very fond memories of my days at Catalina High and the classmates that I got to know.
